Many of my clients come to me with pre-diagnosed food intolerances after testing with their GP or Specialist, through their own personal observation or through an elimination diet with their Dietician.
I help by giving these clients creative ideas for how to cater for their food intolerance needs (sometimes people have more than one food they need to avoid which makes menu planning tricky). I’ll also help with herbs or supplements where appropriate as some food intolerances can lead people to have nutritional deficiencies and I’ll counsel clients and their families on how to make the most of the foods still available in their diet to reduce their chances of nutritional deficiencies.
I’ve helped adults and children with the following pre-diagnosed food intolerances.
- Dairy & Soy (combination)
- Dairy, Soy & Nut (combination)
- Gluten (Coeliac)
- Gluten & Dairy
- low FODMAP diets
- Low Salicylate
- Other combinations including citrus, tomato, nightshade vegetables.
In addition to her Advanced Diplomas in Naturopathy, Nutrition and Herbal Medicine, Lisa also has personal experience with living with a restricted diet as she and her two children have an intolerance to dairy and her daughter was sensitive to dairy and soy as an infant. In addition she has a niece with coeliac disease. So her advice regarding living with a restricted diet is practical and useful.
